Status Quo 03:28
Same shit, just a different day, Gotta make it alright, gotta make it OK Work, work, work, work, work, and no time to play But there’s got to be a better way What the hell? (What the fuck?) Just payin' the bills, Drink a few beers, and pop a few pills Drift off to another place And just forget how to feel Same time, same line, same fucking road Illusions not change, you try to make it your own You want us to believe, to believe your lies No way, no how, not this time Scars are more than just skin deep They live and breathe and they haunt our sleep Just who do you think you are? To give you my rights to keep How long can we go on? Down this road of apathy How long can we go on living this way? When every day’s the… You throw your shit in my face And think that I won’t hate Everything that you are This time I’m gonna break I bust my ass to the bone To see you take what I own Leave me nothing in return Leave me broke and alone How long can we go on? Down this road of misery How long can we go on living this way? How long can we go on? Down this road of tragedy How long can we go on living this way? With all our prayers in vain ‘Cause every day’s the… Same

Saw a man standing on a mountain selling a pot of gold. In one hand he held the key to Heaven, the other one's got your soul. He looked down upon my face with eyes of fire and blood. He said, “I can't say I love you with the venom dripping from my tongue.” Heard a man splashing in the river looking for who he used to be. He cried out in grief and guilt for what I could not see. Lord, take my soul. Every decision, every choice we make, leads to our next mistake. Every journey, every step I take, leads me straight back to you. Touched by a woman's kiss, the scars of time will take their toll. Cursed by the angels, lord, but blessed by the gods of rock n roll. Don't I know. Lord, take my soul. In one hand he held the key to Heaven...

Three-legged dog, He sings her a song, He tells her the truth, He won't be here long, How 'bout you? How 'bout you? She's out on the streets, Got some stories to tell, Everyone she meets now, lord, Got one foot in Hell, How 'bout you? Tell me how does it feel when you just walk away Beaten down and bruised Now there's no doubt in my mind that you've lost your way But you weren't born to lose Step out of the light, Into the night You were born to fight So embrace the darkness Step out of the light, Into the night You were born to fight So embrace the darkness A three-legged dog, He sings her a song, You know he tells her the truth, She won't be here too long, How 'bout you? Tell me how does it feel when you just walk away Beaten down and bruised Now there's no doubt in my mind that you've lost your way But you weren't born to lose Step out of the light, Into the night You were born to fight So embrace the darkness Step out of the light, Into the night You were born to fight So embrace the darkness Darkness, from grace we all fall

50/50 to 190 proof Don't know what I'm talking about? That's too bad for you Thirteen shots of whiskey just to wet her lips Born with the face of an angel, she's got the devil in those hips You need an education in what it takes to be her man But before you give in to temptation, I think you need to understand... She ain't too prissy, ain't worried about breaking a nail Yeah, she's talking shit, lord, she's raisin' hell Fire breathing Jezebel with a cigarette in tow No need to worry 'cause this girl's always ready to go But you need an education in what it takes to be her man But before you give in to temptation, I think you better understand... She's the Bitch. Bitch of the bunch But you need an education in what it takes to be her man But before you give in to temptation, you damn well better understand... She's the Bitch. The bitch of the bunch

The Greeter 06:09
THE GREETER Old man on the corner, waving his hand again, An old man on the corner and no one understands, What he's done to his life and where he's been An old man on the corner, waving his hand again Forever alone An old man at the table, you' better sit up straight, And drink from the devil's weed, search inside the secret tree When you look into his eyes, you'll get lost inside When you listen to the words he speaks, he tells the story of his life He said... I sold my soul to live forever and now I'm the collector of souls, The time has come to pay my master and you shall be the one to pay my toll Just lay head back and relax and I will take away all your pain, Leave you empty, leave you hollow inside but you will always know my name... He said I was perfect because he is perfect too When you look into his eyes, you'll get lost inside When you listen to the words he speaks, he tells the story of his life He said... I am the number one archer I am the number one archer I am the number one archer I am the number one archer An old man on the corner, waving his hand again

Time will tell who we are Not what we might have been You live through this just to die for that Then you get up and do it again Yeah History is filled with loss and pain Cause it's all the same They made their sacrifice It's time we make the change We're kickin it down , kickin it down No matter what you tell yourself You must believe You want to save yourself Betray yourself and then you will see Die for hope, die for peace, die for love But live, lord, live to be free

How many times I gotta sing the blues? How many times I gotta shout just get through to you? How many times I gotta walk away? How many times I gotta lose before the dog has his day? 'Cause I've been kicked in the teeth again. But I'm feeling fine, 'cause it's my time to shine. Batter up, batter down, you know that's right Strike one, strike two, strike three Ha, yeah, you out Why you always thinking you're right? (Yeah, you) Why is it when you're wrong, you gotta bitch and whine? (Boo-hoo) Just who do you think you're talking to? (you're talking to the man) I may be a nobody but that's two steps better than you. 'Cause I've been kicked in the teeth again, But I'm feeling fine, 'cause it's my time to shine. Yeah, it's going my way But it's been a long time, been a long time comin' Yeah, it's going my way But it's been a long time, been a long time comin' They say turnabout's fair play, but I proved to be the better man So many things left to say, I need you to understand. 'Cause I've been kicked in the teeth again, But that's in the past, so... Kiss my ass. Yeah, it's going my way But it's been a long time, been a long time comin' Yeah, it's going my way But it's been a long time, been a long time comin' It's going my way, it's going my way, it's going my way, It's been a long time, been a long time comin' It's going my way, it's going my way, it's going my way, It's been a long time, been a long time comin'

I take one look at you And see what you want me to But I don't know a thing about you You are the one, You're the gun The opposition man Taking a stand, Turning man Against another one Making misery for fun As the world is coming undone Now just where do you think you are? As you stare at your own reflection Painting the picture of a revelation The road to Hell is paved with good intentions But that's not what you're all about Just trying to find your way out You are the weak, You're the sheep Faking your rally cry Taking your time, Tow the line To the endless deep  What you sow is what you'll reap Your time has come to fail the meek Now just what do you think you are? As you stare at your own reflection Painting the picture of a revolution I can see through you Now just who do you think you are? As you stare at your own reflection Painting the picture of a devastation

Our Time 02:39
Pride, passion and potential. Not necessarily that sequential. To win or lose is not the differential. It's how you play the game. Well... I ain't gonna ride the pine for nine I'm gonna fight, gonna win, cause it's do or die I'm gonna strive to live my life and shine... Cuz it's our time Struggle and dedication Consistency of your preparation In the clutch, you'll find your inspiration No pain, no gain It's our time, so give it all Batter up, play ball Well... I ain't gonna ride the pine for nine I'm gonna fight, gonna win, cause it's do or die I'm gonna strive to live my life and shine...yeah! True blue, true blue runnin through and through It's our time, so give it all Batter up, play ball True blue, true blue runnin through and through

I breathe your mountain and spit your earth I smoked the cosmos at the time of your birth I drank the rivers like the finest wine I am forever, I'm the absence of time You shed your skin to blend a vapid disguise You lost your strength with the safety of lies You castigate to hide the world from your pain You chew the flesh, the salt, the shell of my name Yeah, so tell me where's your hope? I eat your mountains and I shit out your earth I seed your sermon and I measure your worth I am your plague, my axiom divine I am omega, I'm the end of time Yeah, so tell me where's your hope? Show me how you believe Show me how you believe Show me how you believe Show me how you deceive Life feeds death feeds life Death feeds life feeds death Life feeds death feeds life Death feeds life feeds death Yeah, so tell me where's your hope?

about

EdgeOverEdge's eagerly anticipated, self-titled debut on Sliptrick Records blurs the line between rock and metal. It is a testament to the influences that permeate the band's sound; from the corners of the Earth to the Midwest United States. Conforming to no genre, setting no limits on creativity, EdgeOverEdge has crafted an album that is unique in its own right but instantly familiar at the same time.

From the blistering, up tempo opener, Status Quo, that will have you screaming for "more cowbell" while throwing elbows in the pit, to the gritty, blues-rock-prog of Embrace the Darkness, that has an ending out of left field, yet feels completely natural. Sleazy metal never sounded so good on the track The Bitch of the Bunch! Take in the story of The Greeter and hold on for the ride! Journey to the crossroads with The Prince & the Prophet, in a laid back, blues meets doom strut that simply oozes vibe! Kickin' It Down is a straight forward rocker dedicated to all those who put their lives on the line for ours. Long Time Comin' is a funky number that turns everything up to 11 in the chorus! The Devil's in the Details goes from mild mannered rock song with soaring vocals into a pit-friendly, savage callout to posers. Our Time is a rocker that never takes its eye off the ball, just like the baseball lingo it's written with. Mountain Breather is the newest track by this trio and delivers on both musicality and intensity! Doom, doom, DOOM! It will leave you out of breath!

Vocals that rage and serenade; backed by tightly woven harmonies. Guitars that live in the pocket and drip grooves. Technically proficient beats that are not always what's expected but always deliver the goods! And a bottom end that knows when to simply hold the song together and when to show off the musical prowess.

EdgeOverEdge is only warming up!
